Leadership in Disabilities & Achievement of Hawai`i (LDAH) is an organization founded in 1968 by parents of children with disabilities.
Who We Are and What We Do
LDAH is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization working to support and educate parents, families and professionals to meet the needs of children and youth (ages birth through 26) with any disability. Dedicated to the service of individuals with special needs, LDAH provides interactive training opportunities, disseminates high-quality educational resources and offers advocacy assistance at no cost to families.
Our School Readiness Project offers developmental, social-emotional, autism, hearing and vision screening for young learners preparing for kindergarten. Our goal is to educate all parents on the benefits of screening their children prior to entering kindergarten to be ready for school, ready to learn!
Parents Appreciate their Experiences
“How come I haven’t heard of you before? Had I known about you, I may have been able to get my children the help they needed earlier!”
“Oh, I did not know IDEA meant Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.”
“Wow, I have learned so much information in your training!”
Individuals have choice and access to educational, work as well as life opportunities to be successful regardless of their disabilities.
